Snezhnye Barsy (Kazakh: Qar Barystary Astana, Қар Барыстары Астана; Russian: Снежные Барсы; English: Snow Leopards) is a junior ice hockey team from Astana, Kazakhstan, which consists of players from the Barys Astana academy. They compete in the MHL.
Snezhnye Barsy is a professional ice hockey team based in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. The team was founded in 2009 and has since become one of the most successful ice hockey teams in the country. The name "Snezhnye Barsy" translates to "Snow Leopards" in English, which is a nod to the rare and endangered species that can be found in the mountains of Kazakhstan.
The team plays in the Kazakhstan Hockey Championship, which is the top professional ice hockey league in the country.
