RK Železničar 1949 (Serbian Cyrillic: РК Железничар 1949) is a Serbian handball club based in Niš. They compete in the Serbian Handball Super League.

History

The club was formed as RK Naissus on 7 September 2009 by the amalgamation of RK Železničar and ORK Niš. They immediately started competing in the Serbian Handball Super League by inheriting the spot from ORK Niš.

On 5 December 2011, the club changed its name to RK Železničar. They won their first trophy, the Serbian Handball Cup, in the 2013–14 season. After suffering relegation from the top flight in 2016, the club spent the following season without competing.

Ahead of the 2017–18 season, the club received a wild card entry to the Serbian Handball Super League.

RK Zeleznicar 1949 is a professional handball team based in Nis, Serbia. The team was founded in 1949 and has since become one of the most successful handball teams in Serbia. The team plays in the Serbian Handball Super League and has won numerous titles and awards over the years.

The team's home arena is the Cair Sports Center, which has a seating capacity of 5,000 spectators. The team's colors are blue and white, and their logo features a train, which is a nod to the team's name, which translates to "Railwayman."

RK Zeleznicar 1949 has a strong roster of talented players, including some of the best handball players in Serbia. The team is known for its fast-paced, aggressive style of play, and their ability to score quickly and efficiently.

The team has a dedicated fan base, known as the "Blue Army," who are known for their passionate support of the team. The team's success on the court and their loyal fan base have made RK Zeleznicar 1949 one of the most respected and admired handball teams in Serbia.
